In vitro maturation (IVM)
About IVM
In vitro egg maturation is an innovative in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment for women to help their immature eggs reach maturity outside the body.
Eggs grow in small follicles in the woman’s ovaries. Typically, one egg matures per month. Using IVM method, the fertility specialist extracts multiple immature eggs from the follicles throughout the monthly menstrual cycle and helps these eggs mature in the laboratory. This technique does not require hormonal stimulation.
At Assuta Medical Centers, a team of reproductive health specialists with extensive expertise and experience in egg development. Assuta’s state-of-the-art laboratories help ensure that women and couples can take advantage of cutting-edge fertility treatment.
